Troubleshooting a 126.01 service LVPS error

Does an 126.01 Service error appear on your printer? Check out the following steps to troubleshoot the problem.

Issue description

The printer posts a
126.01 Service LVPS
(Low voltage power supply) error.

Solution

Before performing the steps below, confirm the following first:
  • The printer must be running with the latest firmware version. Guide the customer with the updating process if necessary.
  • The power outlet is providing at least
    90%
    of the nominal voltage; i.e., a 120 V outlet must be greater than (
    >
    ) 108V.
Follow the steps below to resolve this issue:
  1. Make sure that printer is plugged directly into the wall outlet. Do not use a
    power strip
    ,
    surge protectors
    or an
    uninterruptible power supply
    .
  2. Make sure that printer has been turned on in an ambient temperature for about 30 minutes.
  3. Update the printer’s firmware with the latest version. Follow steps outline in Downloading the latest Lexmark printer firmware to know how to check, download and update the printer firmware.
