Requirements

Make sure to prepare the following beforehand:
  • Twain Group provided Twack_32 app
  • Lexmark Twain Driver
  • Lexmark printer updated to the latest firmware version

Solution

Capturing logs
  1. Open Regedit.
  2. Navigate to
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Lexmark\NetworkTwain\Logger
    .
  3. Change the
    StartLog
    value to
    data 1
    .
  4. Navigate to
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Lexmark\NetworkTwain\DRS\Logger
    .
  5. Change the
    StartLog
    value to
    data 1
    .
  6. Reproduce the scan issue.
Expected Result
  • The required
    NetTwain.log
    and
    ScanCoreLog.log
    log files can now be found in the
    C:\ProgramData folder
    .
