How to Export and Import User-Defined Configuration Settings on Most Lexmark Laser Printers and MFPs
Issue description
This article provides instructions on how to export and import settings defined and configured by the user.
Prevent accidental deletion of shortcuts, destinations, security, or other user-configured settings.
Reduce configuration times in certain environments.
Re-apply configuration settings after service actions such as a controller board replacement. This occurs because many application settings are stored within internal memory on the controller board.
Exported settings include:
Destinations for Apps; e.g., Scan to Network
Shortcuts for resident functions; e.g., fax, email, Scan-to-PC, FTP
App configuration settings; e.g., scan setting parameters and more.
Security configuration settings excluding passwords, passphrases, and keys
