Obtaining the Menu Settings page (MSP)

Here are methods on how to obtain the Menu Settings page.

Overview

This article summarizes the steps for viewing or capturing
device settings
or
menu settings
.
Why are these settings important?
Understanding these settings will help you understand printer behavior and potentially aid in the troubleshooting of your printer issues.
For example, a prompt to
Load Tray 1 Plain
,
Letter
may signal an issue with the tray's physical setup. By printing this page, you can quickly see the printer's
Paper Type
and
Paper Size
, and based on this information, you can either isolate a problem with the
tray's paper guides
(
sliders
), or an
application setting
that is
overriding both printer driver
and
printer settings
.
