Support article for Lexmark XC4143
A print quality issue that shows grainy, fuzzy, washed out or incomplete coverage on the page. You may also see a smudged or smeared line two inches from the bottom of the page.
Note: This can occur on a new printer, but its occurrence is rare, and it can occur if replacing a transfer module, which comes as part of a maintenance kit.

Open the front door and locate the (blue) jam release lever, just below the fuser on the right-hand side.
Pull down on the lever until it locks in place.
Lift the lever back up until it springs back up.
Close the front door and perform a print quality check to confirm whether the issue is resolved. (Settings > Reports > Print Quality Pages).
