This Readme file pertains to the current release of the LEXMARK ECO-SETTINGS application.
Lexmark Eco-Settings is an embedded solution that can be installed on printers that support the Lexmark Embedded Solutions Framework (eSF) v2.0 or v3.0. Eco-Settings enables users to use their printer touch screen to easily view and manage print settings that reduce energy consumption, noise, and toner and paper use.
Requirements
Any single or multifunction printer that supports eSF v2.0, and v3.0 applications.

NOTE: The application is installed on supported Single Function Printers (SFPs) by default.

This application requires an electronic license to run on eSF v3.0 printers. To obtain a license, go to www.lexmark.com and click the "Contact Lexmark" link at the bottom of the screen.

eSF 3.0 Device Support.
Limitations and compatibility of the release
If a setting is changed and applied from the printer's configuration Web page, the page always displays a "Modified settings were committed successfully" message, regardless of whether the changes were actually applied on the printer. To find out if the settings were applied successfully, the administrator can refresh the screen.
Some settings such as Power Saver and Standby Mode cannot be changed While the printer is printing or is in an error state.
For eSF v3.0 printers, the application cannot be configured using MarkVision Professional (MVP).
