Creating a Z-fold and Z-fold half sheet using the print driver
Learn how to create a Z-fold and Z-fold half sheet using the print driver.
For more information on the finisher configurations for booklet jobs, see Finisher configurations and supported finishing jobs.
Before creating a fold, make sure that:
- The paper is loaded with the short edge toward the right side of the tray.
- The paper size or paper type is supported by the finisher configuration. For more information, see Paper sizes supported for fold jobs or Supported paper types.
For Windows users
- Access the print driver. For more information, see Accessing the print driver.
- In thePage Orientationmenu, selectRotate 180°.
- ClickPaper/Finishing.
- In theFoldmenu, select any of the following:
- Z-fold—Folds each page separately.
- Z-fold Half Sheet—Folds each page separately.
- Z-fold Multiple—Folds all pages together.
- ClickOK, and then clickPrint.
For Macintosh users
- Access the print driver. For more information, see Accessing the print driver.
- In the dialog that appears, select a printer.
- In theOrientationmenu, choosePortrait.
- ClickLayout, and then chooseReverse Page Orientation.
- Depending on the type of fold that you want to create, do either of the following:
- For Z-fold, clickPrinter Options, choose , and then choose either of the following:
- Trifold (Z-Type) Individual Pages—Folds each page separately.
- Z-fold Multiple—Folds all pages together.
- For Z-fold half sheet, clickPrinter Options, and then choose .
- ClickOK, and then clickPrint.
