Image Capture application (ICA) bypasses custom driver and scans via AirScan

Image Capture Application (ICA) Bypasses Custom ICA Driver and Scans Via AirScan

Issue description

When performing a
Network Scan
on any of the printer models stated above with your
mac OS 10.12
(
Sierra
), only an
AirScan
user interface (generic UI) will appear and the Lexmark features will be missing.
Since these multifunction printers support AirScan, the Mac OS will bypass the
custom ICA Scan Driver
and the scan will happen via AirScan.

Solution

Scanning using the customer ICA driver is still possible via
USB path
. You may opt to connect the multifunction printer to the computer via
USB cable
and perform the scan.
