Missing or unresponsive toner cartridge
Follow these steps when the printer display shows a toner cartridge missing or unresponsive message.
- Perform the following tests:
- Open the front door.Remove, and then insert the toner cartridge.Is the toner cartridge missing or unresponsive?
- Yes:Go to the next step.
- No:The problem is solved.
- Check if the printer is using a genuine and supported Lexmark toner cartridge.If the toner cartridge is not supported, then install a supported one.Is the toner cartridge missing or unresponsive?
- Yes:Contact customer support.
- No:The problem is solved.
