Updating a printer nickname

Learn how to update the printer nickname.
You cannot update the printer IP address. If the IP address has changed, then remove the printer, and then add the printer again using its new IP address.
  1. From the application home screen, do one of the following:
    • Tap
      Selected device
      , and then from the CURRENTLY SELECTED section, tap .
    • Tap
      Selected device
      , and then from the OTHER DEVICES section, tap
      SAVED

      .
    • Tap
      More
      >
      Manage devices
      , and then select a printer.
  2. Tap , and then in the Device Nickname field, type the new name.
  3. Tap
    SAVE
    .
