Checking the printer firmware version

Learn the different ways on how to check the version or level of the firmware installed in your printer.

Using the Embedded Web Server

Make sure that the printer is connected to the network.
  1. Open a web browser, and then type the printer IP address in the address field.
    • The IP address appears as four sets of numbers separated by periods. For example, 123.123.123.123.
    • If you are using a proxy server, then temporarily disable it to load the web page correctly.
  2. Click

  3. Look for
    Base
    .
    The firmware version appears as sets of letters and numbers separated by periods. For example, ABCDE.123.123.
