Updating the firmware using a flash drive

Learn how to update the firmware in your printer using the flash file saved in your flash drive.
  • Before you begin, make sure that you have downloaded the firmware and saved it on your computer or flash drive. For more information, see Downloading the printer firmware.
  • The flash drive is formatted to FAT32.
  1. Insert the flash drive into the front USB port of the printer.
    The flash drive contents appear automatically on the printer display. If the files do not appear, then select
    USB Drive
     on the home screen.
  2. Search, and then select the
    .fls
     file.
  3. Select
    Update Code
    .
    The printer restarts automatically after the update.
