Google Drive and Google Drive Print Release Information

Overview
The following are version releases of
Google Drive
and
Google Drive Print
. Please note that these are
not
new apps, but updated versions and app names of Google Docs and Google Docs Print.
First Released On:

NOTE:
Google requires all third-party integrators to migrate to
Google Drive
Application Program Interface (API) and
OAuth 2.0
API, and gives their partners until April 20, 2015 before they decommission Google Docs API and OAuth 1.0.
Google Docs vs. Google Drive
Both apps have the same flow and user experience. Below are the changes:

Setting up OAuth for Lexmark Google Apps
There are

parts in setting up OAuth.
  1. Configuring the Function Access Control (FAC).
  2. Enabling OAuth in the app.

Access the printer EWS by typing the printer IP address into the URL field of your browser (e.g., Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, Safari). For example, enter http://MFP_IP_Address, where MFP_IP_Address is the IP address of the printer.

There is nothing to configure in Google Drive or Google Drive Print app since OAuth is set up by the app when it launches.

    Configure.
  2. Set the FAC in
    Login Options
    to the one that corresponds to the Access Control set in
    Step 2

Upgrading from Google Docs to Google Drive
When installing Google Drive on a device with Google Docs installed, Google Drive will
overwrite
Google Docs.
A
Google Drive
or
Google Drive Print 2.0.0
update is required for
Authentication Failed
error using previous versions. See Error Appears with Google Cloud Print 1.6.5, Google Docs, Google Docs Print, Google Drive, and Google Drive Print for more details.
What to expect for first-time users
If you are a first time user and not yet registered with the printer, launch the app in the control panel and you will receive a
code
. Use the code to register the printer to the specific Google account. To do so, go to https://www.google.com/device, log in to your Google account, and then register the printer using the code. The printer should now be ready.

When user selects “Folder” to filter all folders, clicking on the searched folder does
not
display the files within that folder.
The folder should display the files.

Limitation
There is no support for Google Forms. Forms created via Google Drive are not supported by the app and therefore cannot be viewed and/or printed.
