Recipient?s E-mail Address Retained in the `To? Field After Sending E-mail

What you will see
After sending an e-mail, the e-mail recipient
stays
in the "
To
" field for several seconds or minutes before the field resets.
Affected printers
This issue has been seen on the following Lexmark models, but other models not listed here could be affected:
  • X46x
  • X65x
  • X73x
  • X86x
  • X548
  • X74x
  • X792
  • X925
  • X95x
NOTE:
An
x
denotes any number within a given printer model series.
Explanation
By design, the printers listed above will retain the e-mail address/es until the amount of time indicated by the printer's
Panel Login Timeout
has expired.
NOTE:
The default value is
30 seconds
. You may modify this setting via the printer’s
control panel
or
Embedded Web Server
(
EWS
). Go to
Menu Settings
>
Security
>
Miscellaneous Security Settings
>
Login Restrictions
, and then set
Panel Login Timeout
to a preferred value.

To access the printer’s
EWS
, open any browser (e.g., Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, etc.) and enter http://
Printer_IP_ADDRESS
