Issue description
When you turn the printer
On
, the machine doesn't respond and the operator panel does not light up.Troubleshooting
Step | Action |
1 | Check that AC line cord is securely connected to both the wall outlet and the back of the printer. |
2 | Ensure the power switch is turned on. |
3 | Ensure that particular wall outlet is good by trying some other electronic equipment functions when plugged into that same wall outlet. |
4 | Try another wall outlet, if possible. |
5 | Tap the touchscreen. If display lights-up, request firmware upgrade that includes this bug fix. Note: The screen should never turn off while booting; i.e., you should see the status bar crawling.Printer display temporarily goes black during initial power up for more information about this issue. |

Step | Action |
1 | Replace the LVPS If display is dark or blank. if the cooling fans are running, proceed to step 2. |
2 | Remove printer's side cover on the controller card side. |
3 | Remove service door and check whether LED is lit.

4 | Check Voltages on System Card for 3.3 Volts.

5 | Check ribbon connectors between scanner controller card and controller card, replace if damaged. |
6 | Are LEDs lit on scanner controller card?

7 | Substitute in Front Panel Assembly; if the different Front Panel works, replace Front Panel. |
8 | If different Front Panel does not fix the issue, then replace scanner controller card. |

1 | Make sure that the printer is plugged in. |
2 | If the printer is still not powering up, check the power cord for continuity. |
3 | Replace the power cord if no continuity is detected. |
4 | Should the issue persist, check the AC line voltage to the machine. The voltage should be within the following limits:
When the voltage is within the limits, then proceed to step 5. If not, try a different outlet. |
5 | Check the voltages on the pins of the LVPS card and make sure it matches the following information:
Replace the LVPS , if the voltages ae correct. |
