How to Create and Select Custom Size Forms or Paper Sizes in Windows
Overview
If paper is loaded into the a tray and the size-sliders (paper guides) will not lock into place, then it is likely that custom-size paper is being used. This will lead to load messages and a whole host of printing anomalies.
The steps below outline the creation of a custom size form and how it needs to be selected in both driver and application.
The end result is that:
- Driver understands page dimensions and will send proper print commands to accurately position data on the page.
- Application will recognize the same custom form and allow user to edit the page based on those defined dimensions.
