When a customer loads paper into a newly installed 2500-sheet or 3000-sheet option tray, it will show different sizes (i.e.,
A4
or Letter
) for the paper that is actually loaded and the information found under paper settings.Explanation
Unlike Lexmark's other devices, the Lexmark
MS911
and MX91x
's 2500-sheet and 3000-sheet option trays do not
have an auto-size sense function
, and therefore must be changed manually. Recommended solution

Access the Configuration Menu by following the following steps:1. Power off the printer.
2. Press and hold 2 and 6 simultaneously while powering the printer on again.
3. Release the buttons when the splash screen appears. |

Locate Size Sensing from the configuration menu. |

Select the option tray not showing any change when a different paper size is loaded (i.e., Tray 3 has letter -sized media loaded and it appears as A4 paper settings). |

Set the size of the paper to match the one loaded in the printer. |
