Blank or Intermittent Display for Lexmark MS71x, MS81x, MX71x, & MX81x
Issue description
Operator panel display is blank or the printer does not come to Ready when print job is sent.
Troubleshooting
- Check whether the AC line cord is securely connected to both the wall outlet and the back of the printer.
- Verify whether the wall outlet is working by plugging in other device. Try another wall outlet, if needed.
- Ensure the power switch is turned on.
- Check thesleep(moon)button. If it is illuminated, the printer may be inSleep modeorHibernate mode(blinking). Press the button to wake the printer up.
- Should the display remain off while printing, then printer may be set toSleep-Print-Sleep mode. Access the printers settings and then check theMenu Settings Pages, navigate throughSettings>Timeouts>Print with Display Off. If Print with Display Off is set to “Allow printing with Display off”.
