SCAC: Error Message, 'User cannot find KDC for requested realm'

Issue Description:
A message displayed on device says, "
Unable to contact the domain controller for the user's realm.
"
Also, the system error log indicates,
  • User cannot find KDC for requested realm.
  • The realm, domain controller or the domain specified in the Kerberos configuration file is incorrect.
Solution:
You may have to add the missing realm or realms to the Kerberos configuration file, or modify the incorrect realm.
  1. Access the MFP's embedded Web server via IP Address or Hostname.
  2. Click

    Kerberos 5
    >

Simple Kerberos
setup used...
Under a simple Kerberos Setup, verify the proper values for the following fields:
  • Realm
  • Domain Controller
  • Domain
See the Administrator's guide for more information.
  • Make sure realm is typed in uppercase.
    NOTE:
    Only one realm is allowed on a simple Kerberos setup
  • Make sure to put in the correct KDC or domain controller on the Domain Controller field. If there are multiple domains, separate them with a comma.
  • Make sure to input the correct domain in the Domain field.
