Lexmark Print Management (LPM) ? The Installer Dialogs for Database and LDAP Settings Does Not Allow Upgrades

Audience: ‘Lexmark only’ below
Overview
When upgrading an LPM system with the
LPM installer v2.5.1.6
or
earlier
, the user is presented with dialog screens that seem to allow changing
Lightweight Directory Access Protocol
(
LDAP
) and / or database settings. However, any
changes
entered here are
not applied
. The installer still utilizes the pre-upgrade values.
Explanation
Starting with the LPM installer v2.5.2.0, the installer will not allow changes to database or LDAP settings if it is previously configured. Database settings will always be previously configured. On the other hand, LDAP settings may or may not have been previously configured. If LDAP settings had not been previously configured, a user can enter in settings that will be honored.
