Configuration Requirements
The E-mail Setup Wizard attempts to populate the following settings based solely on the e-mail address you have provided.
- SMTP Server address
- SMTP Port
- Use SSL/TLS or Anonymous
- Authentication settings

- ClickBackand verify theSMTP Server Address. Other common terms used for this value:
- Mail server address
- Primary SMTP Gateway address
- E‑Mail Domain address
- ClickFinishand configure from the printer’sweb pageorcontrol panel.
Web Page Configuration Steps
- Identify and verify the configuration settings for your E‑mail Service Provider on the Embedded Web Server. Click here for verification instructions.
- Update the information fields,Submit, andtest the e‑mail function again.
- Remove the checkmark from Validate CA certificate if using SSL/TLS authentication. Repeat the process as necessary and test the e‑mail function again.Worded values are case-sensitive and other symbols or characters are required.

Control Panel Configuration Steps
For touch screen‑equipped devices only.
- Press theWrench Icon.
- Scroll down and selectE‑mail Setup.
- PressSMTP Setup.
- PressServerand enter the correctSMTP Server Addressusing the keypad. Press thegreen checkmark buttonon the lower right‑hand section of the screen to confirm.
- PressPortand enter the correctSMTP Server Portnumber. PressAccept.
- PressUse SSL/TLS, and depending on your E‑mail Service Provider’s recommendation, clickDisable,Negotiate, orRequired. PressAccept.
- PressSender’s Name, and enteroptionalname of sender. PressAccept.
- PressAuthentication.
- If you selectedNegotiateorRequiredforSSL/TLSsetting, selectPlainand pressAccept.
- Otherwise, selectNoneorNTLMand pressAccept.
- PressUser Name, and enterfull user nameorUserIDdepending on your ESP’s configuration requirements. PressAccept.
- PressPassword, and enter your e‑mail login password. PressAccept.
- PressTest SMTP Settingsand observe result. If the ‘E‑mail has not been set up’ message reappears, some value(s) were not entered properly. Contact your ESP or try another E‑mail account.
