Issue description

During the configuration of e-mail or when attempting to send an e-mail, you see one of the following messages:

Solution

Configuration Requirements
The E-mail Setup Wizard attempts to populate the following settings based solely on the e-mail address you have provided.
  • SMTP Server address
  • SMTP Port
  • Use SSL/TLS or Anonymous
  • Authentication settings

ESPs
) occasionally change their configuration requirements without notice. Lexmark is not responsible for obtaining these values.

  1. Identify and verify the configuration settings for your E‑mail Service Provider on the Embedded Web Server. Click here for verification instructions.
  2. Update the information fields,
    Submit, and
    test the e‑mail function again.
  3. Remove the checkmark from Validate CA certificate if using SSL/TLS authentication. Repeat the process as necessary and test the e‑mail function again.
