Out of the Box Printer Starts Up in Safe Mode

Issue description

When powering
On
 an out of the box printer, it boots up in Safe Mode.

Solution

To resolve this issue,
Safe Mode must be deactivated
.
  1. Power the printer
    Off
    .
  2. Power the printer back
    On
     while simultaneously pressing the Return Arrow button and the Cancel button until the "Swirl" or loading screen appears.
  3. Verify if the home screen is in the
    Ready State
    .
  4. If the issue persist, update the printer firmware. Refer to Downloading the latest Lexmark printer firmware for steps on how to check, download and update the printer firmware.
The button sequence mentioned above is the only way to enter and exit Safe Mode.
