Creating a configuration from a printer
The following components are not included:
- Printer firmware
- Applications
- Certificates
To add the firmware, applications, and certificates, edit the configuration in MVE.
- From the Printers menu, clickPrinter Listing.
- Select the printer, and then clickConfigure>Create configuration from printer.
- If necessary, selectInclude advanced security settingsto create an advanced security component from the selected printer.
- If the printer is secured, then select the authentication method, and then enter the credentials.
- Type a unique name for the configuration and its description, and then clickCreate Configuration.
- From the Configurations menu, clickAll Configurations.
- Select the configuration, and then clickEdit.
- If necessary, edit the settings.
- ClickSave Changes.
