SOLUTION CENTER Readme for version 1.2.6 1. OVERVIEW This Readme file pertains to the current release of the SOLUTION CENTER application. Solution Center is a client application of Lexmark Cloud Solution Center. As an Embedded Solutions Framework (eSF) application, it is available on Lexmark printer devices. It allows users to view and execute workflows that have been configured through the Lexmark Cloud Services Solution Center portal. The Solution Center eSF application does not create or customize solutions. Instead, it retrieves preconfigured solutions from the Solution Center portal, enabling users to capture, process, and route documents directly from the device. Solution Center application can be installed on printers that support the Lexmark Embedded Solutions Framework (eSF) v6.x or higher. The application bundle includes the following: * SOLUTION CENTER This application allows users to capture, process, and route documents directly from the device. * CLOUD AUTHENTICATION This application requires users to authenticate with an ID card before they can use the printer. * KEYBOARD READER DRIVERS These drivers enable the keyboard reader to properly communicate. * OMNIKEY READER DRIVERS These drivers enable the Omnikey reader to properly communicate with appropriate Lexmark devices. 2. Card reader and driver: This application requires a card reader and an appropriate driver for card login. To obtain these items, go to www.lexmark.com, and click "Contact Us" at the bottom of the page. e. Supported browsers when accessing the configuration page: * Google Chrome™ version 43.x or later * Mozilla Firefox version 38.x or later * Internet Explorer version 11.x or later * For Internet Explorer, we recommend turning off the compatibility settings. 4. LIMITATIONS AND COMPATIBILITY OF RELEASE a. Solution Center supports up to 300 solutions only. b. On accessibility: * The whole web page is focusable and tabbable. * When pressing keyboard commands, the panel may perform key repeats and multiple clicks on a single click unless the accessibility settings for key repeat are configured properly. * For localization, input fields have a default accessibility. * The invalid characters for the input field are not being read. * The step titles and containers are focusable via arrow keys. * The search bar peeker is not focusable. * The "Navigating home" caption and TalkBack feature may appear on subsequent launches of the eSF app due to standard prompt behavior. This is also encountered in native applications. * The "Solution Center" caption and TalkBack feature do not appear during the app launch due to standard prompt behavior. * The Summary field is not focusable in firmware versions 22 and earlier. c. Misleading prompts appear if there is another authenticator aside from Cloud Authentication and if Cloud Authentication is uninstalled. d. Misleading message prompts appear if Cloud Authentication is set as the main authenticator and other authenticators exist. e. Clicking the back button on the Cloud Authentication landing page shows a misleading error message. This error happens if the user has previously logged in to Solution Center, exited to the home screen, and then clicked Solution Center again. Additionally, this issue occurs if Cloud Authentication is set as a non-pluggable module and there are no other authenticators installed. f. Solution Center currently cannot coexist with Lexmark Print Management (LPM) apps. g. Our third-party OCR engine has a limitation when the scan input file contains colored graphics content. This may result in execution failure if the solution includes a translation step or may produce inaccurate output for other steps. h. Disabling the Embedded Web Server Access setting causes a 401 unauthorized error message when opening the Solution Center app. * Click Security > Manage Permissions > All Users > Device Management, and then enable Embedded Web Server Access, as the app utilizes webprompts. 5. FUNCTIONING AS DESIGNED a. Job size must not be more than 50MB. b. If a solution has an email step, then the job size must not be more than 25MB. c. If a solution has a translate step, then the job size must not be more than 40MB. d. Users cannot create solutions. e. Some file format sub-settings, such as highly compressed and searchable options, are hidden when there is an OCR step to prevent user edits and ensure the solution works correctly. 6.
