LEXMARK CLOUD SCAN Readme for version 2.4 1. OVERVIEW This Readme file pertains to the current release of the LEXMARK CLOUD SCAN application. Lexmark Cloud Scan is an embedded solution client of the Lexmark Cloud Scan Management. Lexmark Cloud Scan Management is an LCS offering that enables easy conversion of physical documents into a digital format by scanning them directly into a cloud-based file-sharing system, avoiding delays and rework. Lexmark Cloud Scan application can be installed on printers that supports the Lexmark Embedded Solutions Framework (eSF) v6.x or higher. The application bundle includes the following: * CLOUD SCAN This application allows users to scan and upload files directly to a variety of cloud storage providers. * CLOUD AUTHENTICATION This application requires uses to authenticate with an ID card before they can use the printer. * DEVICE USAGE This application enabler customers to manager and monitor their document output effectively. * KEYBOARD READER DRIVERS These drivers enable the keyboard reader to properly communicate. * OMNIKEY READER DRIVERS These drivers enable the Omnikey reader to properly communicatae with appropriate Lexmark devices. 2. A printer that supports eSF v6.x or later applications. Memory: The printer must have at least 1GB of RAM. c. Entitlements: The application requires entitlement. To obtain entitlement, go to www.lexmark.com, and click "Contact Us" at the bottom of the page. d. Card reader and driver: This application requires a card reader and an appropriate driver for card login. To obtain these items, go to www.lexmark.com, and click "Contact Us" at the bottom of the page. e. Supported browsers when accessing the configuration page: * Google Chrome™ version 43.x or later * Mozilla Firefox version 38.x or later * Internet Explorer version 11.x or later * For Internet Explorer, we recommend turning off the compatibility settings. 4. LIMITATIONS AND COMPATIBILITY OF RELEASE a. Job size must not be more than 20MB. b. The maximum allowed scan destination is limited to 50. c. Users cannot create destinations. d. Scanning to multiple destinations is not supported. e. Going back to the previous page containing the marquee makes the marquee speed faster. f. On 7" and 10" screens, marquee has a bigger font compared to others on the page. g. Ellipses appear on the last folder in breadcrumbs if the folder name or any folder within the path has wide characters. h. If the Device Quotas application is already installed in a printer, then you cannot use the Cloud Scan applications. i. An "unauthorized access" error message appears when there is another authenticator and if Cloud Authentication is uninstalled. j. An "unauthorized access" error message appears when the Cloud Authentication application is set as the main authenticator and other authenticators exist. k. An "unauthorized access" error message appears when clicking on the Back button in the Cloud Authentication landing page. This error happens if the user has previously logged in to Cloud Scan Management (CSM), exited to the home screen, and then clicked on CSM again. Additionally, this issue occurs if Cloud Authentication is set as a non-pluggable module and there are no other authenticators installed. l. Cloud Scan Management currently cannot coexist with Lexmark Print Management (LPM) apps. 5.
