Issue Description:

The 32.00 Unsupported cartridge error appears on the Lexmark XC9225 home screen upon printer boot up.

 

Solution:

Make sure the printer is using the correct toner cartridge part number.

Note: The part number for the Lexmark XC9225 printer varies per geo, please refer to the local ordering information for geo-specific part numbers.

  • Printer model(s)
  • Printer serial number
  • Toner/imaging unit/waste toner bottle part number and serial number

Remote Fix:

  1. For remote fix opportunity, go through the steps in the Customer section if the Customer has not already done so.
     
  2. Make sure the printer has the correct firmware level. For the XC9225 the minimum level of code to
    support the correct cartridges is PE release CXTMH.070.046 or newer:
     
    1. CXTMH.070.046 (PE Level code).
       
    2. CXTMH.071.xxx - does not have the correct cartridge licenses to work properly.
       
    3. CXTMGH.072.xxx - all levels will have the correct cartridge licenses to work properly.

Note:

  • For steps on how to download and update the printer firmware, please refer to KB article HO550.
     
  1. Should the issue persist even if the firmware is already updated, please make sure to contact your next level of support for possible escalation.
