Issue Description:

In enrolling printers in the Lexmark Cloud Fleet Management, it fails or the printer becomes unresponsive after the enrollment attempt.

This issue occurs on the affected printers with firmware versions LW73.xxx.P034 or older that have the Cloud Print Management embedded solution framework (eSF) applications installed.

Solution:

  1. Update the firmware to LW74.xxx.P037.
Refer to Document ID: HO550 for the steps on How to Check, Download, and Update with the Latest Lexmark Printer Firmware.

  2. Uninstall the Cloud Print Management eSF application bundle. This can be done by one of the following four methods.

    1. Uninstall the Cloud Print Management eSF application bundle from within Fleet Management portal Printers list.

    2. Manually uninstall these eSF applications from within Fleet Management portal Printers Details page.

    4. Reset the printer’s eSF applications to its Factory Defaults.

WARNING: This will remove all non-standard eSF applications from the printer and reset all standard apps to their factory defaults. If any non-standard eSF applications other than the CPM applications are installed, first export application settings for these applications.

      • Go to Settings> Security> Restore Factory Defaults> Restore Settings and select Restore Setting: Apps

  3. Reenroll the printer in CFM using the Printer Enrollment Tool.

  4. After being enrolled, redeploy the Cloud Print Management application bundle using the Fleet Management portal.

  5. Reinstall any other eSF applications that were removed if Step 2d was performed.
