Flat and less likely to jam — preferred

Suggested fix

  1. Twist the envelopes in an effort to get the envelopes to lay flat.
  2. Load fewer envelopes in the tray to reduce stack height.
  3. Try a style of envelope that is known to lay flat in the envelope tray.
