What you will see 

Envelopes that do not lay flat in the Envelope Tray lead to more 240.33, 213.33 and 242.36 jams.

Not flat and more likely to jam
Flat and less likely to jam — preferred

 

 

Suggested fix
 

  1. Twist the envelopes in an effort to get the envelopes to lay flat. 
  2. Load fewer envelopes in the tray to reduce stack height.
  3. Try a style of envelope that is known to lay flat in the envelope tray.
