Black Disappears from Copy Jobs on the Lexmark X73x and X74x Series MFPs

What you will see

No black output results when performing a copy job. This does not affect print jobs or printing from a computer or USB flash drive, or viewing a Scan-to-USB file. This copy issue has been seen on machines that have been in service for a long time.

Click Properties in the title bar for a full list of products.




Contact Lexmark Technical Support for additional troubleshooting and reference this KB article ID# SO8441. It is possible that the transfer belt module will need to be replaced.





Color calibration for copy mode is failing and this is likely due to a sensor that has accumulated excess toner.
