Document ID:SO8366

Usergroup :External
10/17/17 Properties

A clicking or skipping gear noise emanates from the back-side of the printer around IBT belt height, and proceeds with a 202.93 jam message. This error is defined as a jam at the fuser entry, or the fuser exit sensor never turns on.

Service actions

Step 1: Determine if the waste toner bottle is clogged

The Waste Toner Bottle (WTB) has a capacity of 50,000 pages. Should the WTB become clogged or backed up, that can lead to a numerous errors, including a 202.93 printer jam.

Step 2: If necessary, replace the transfer belt (Intermediate Belt Transfer (IBT))

Open door C and make sure that the door does not hit any cables attached to the printer.

Remove the door stopper using the screwdriver from Step 1.

Loosen the screws that are securing the transfer belt.

Remove the paper guide.

Lift the Transfer belt up, then carefully pull it out.

Unpack the new Transfer belt and install it in the printer until it clicks into place.
