Overview
A blank or black display panel appears on the operator panel and the GREEN LED light beside it is either ON or FLASHING.
Troubleshooting
Steps Actions 1 Power off the printer and allow it to sit powered off for ten to 20 seconds. 2 After ten seconds or more, power on the printer again. See whether the display panel powers on correctly. 3 If the printer comes to the 'Ready' state after powering it back on, use the operator panel on the printer to print one of the internal pages; i.e., a settings page or a demo page.
Note: If the issue occurs again, proceed with the steps below.4 Lightly touch the display panel and see whether it lights up. If the screen responds, it may just be in 'sleep' mode. Otherwise, proceed with the next step. 5 If the operator panel displays is completely blank and the Green LED on the front of the printer is still on. check to see whether the Main Fan is spinning from the rear of the printer.
Note: If the Main Fan is not running during power-up sequence, please see No Power Issue. If the Green LED is OFF running during power-up sequence, see proceed with the steps below.6 If the Green LED on the front of the printer is still on and the Main Fan is spinning, this issue requires a service call. Please contact Lexmark Technical Support for other troubleshooting suggestions.
