‘88.xx' Toner Low & Replace Toner Error

Issue Description:

The printer could display any of  the following error message on the printer home screen.

  • 88 Toner Low & Replace Toner Error
  • 88.01 Toner Low & Replace Toner Error
  • 88.09 Toner Low & Replace Toner Error
  • 88.11 Toner Low & Replace Toner Error
  • 88.19 Toner Low & Replace Toner Error
  • 88.21 Toner Low & Replace Toner Error
  • 88.29 Toner Low & Replace Toner Error
  • 88.31 Toner Low & Replace Toner Error
  • 88.38 Toner Low & Replace Toner Error
  • 88.39 Toner Low & Replace Toner Error

 

Solution:

  1. If Toner Low message appears, press the Select button on the Control Panel to continue printing.
     
  2. If the Replace Toner message appears, the end user needs to replace the corresponding cartridge with a new cartridge.
     
  3. If 88.38 Replace Toner Error Code is posted, check firmware version after replacing cartridge.
     
  4. Update the printers firmware code if necessary.
