Print Quality; Repeating; Marks; Voids; Defects; Splotches; Clouds; Speckles; Dots; Spots; Flakes; Black; Cyan; Magenta; Yellow; Colors; Dark Edge; PC drum Wear; Scratchy; Toner; PC drum frequency; Photoconductor Unit;



Splotches of random color print in areas that should not have them. These marks may not cover the entire page from left to right, but they usually do cover the page from top to bottom.

For a print quality defect of this type, it is always advisable to print the Device Statistics Page.

Note: The User's Guide details instructions for navigating through the printer menus.

2 To determine the source of the print defect, refer to the Device Statistics Page to determine the cause of the issue.
3 Check whether there is a PC life warning on the Device Statistics Page.

Note: If so, please replace the Photoconductor Unit.

4 If there is no PC life warning or the issue persists after performing the steps mentioned above, an issue may exist within the machine's hardware. Please contact Lexmark Technical Support for other troubleshooting suggestions.
