MVP 11.2.1: The 'Custom View' Option Is Not Displaying Current 'Real-Time' Status or Operator Panel Alerts |
Document ID:SO5408 |
| Properties |
MarkVision Professional; MVP; MarkVision; MVP 11.2; MVP 11.2.1
What you will see (MVP 11.2.1)
The status of the device, printer image, or operator panel fails to automatically refresh and display properly in the custom view table.
Example of when this is possible
| If MVP's "Custom View" is opened to... |
And... | Then... |
| View the operator panel in the presence of a printer alert, | Another MVP query is being performed at the same time, which requires a different communication channel... | The custom view may display an inaccurate status, printer image, or operator panel illustration. |
Suggested Remedy
The attached plug-in creates separate channels for secure and unsecured communications.(commands). MVP was not able to open two kinds of asynchronous channels to the device under certain conditions.
Explanation
MVP queries for device and status information use different bi-directional communication methods and ports. These queries are different across different devices.
For example, one device may do a "secure type" of query to view the "operator panel", and an "unsecure type" of query for the "status" of the device.
In contrast, a different device may require "unsecure" commands for both operator panel and status conditions. Hence, in this case, both the queries are returned to MVP through the same channel.
