MVP 11.2: Security Templates on the Printer Will Prevent Remote Device Management |

What you will see
Any one of these symptoms:
- - User Unauthenticated for one or more devices message.
- - User locked out from device.
- - MVP is able to discover the device but cannot access the device.
- - Unable to manage the device from MVP if the device's "remote management"
option is set for access-controlled operation.
Environment

Suggested Fix
For devices with advanced security, the credentials that MVP will present to the devices
has to be stored within the Advanced Credential settings.
To do this:
- Within MVP, navigate to Settings > Security > Server security.
- Depending on what type of building block, you will have to set the correct information.
- Delete and rediscover the devices after entering the security settings.

NOTE: Only one set of credentials can be created per MVP server, so all of the
devices should have the same security settings.
Explanation
Remote Management protected by a security template will be able to discover the device but not access it.
