Selecting 'Hold Mismatched Documents' in Advanced Properties Can Cause Print Spooler to Crash

Problem

Print spooler crash; Spooler SubSystem App has stopped working; Spooler SubSystem App has encountered a problem and needs to close.

When printing a document, the following error messages might display:

Solution

Selecting 'Hold mismatched documents' in advanced properties can cause the print spooler service to crash. In order to avoid this, de-select the setting. Go to the installed Lexmark printer, right-click the mouse and select Properties. Go to the Advanced tab, and remove the checkmark from the box.
