Overview

ESET Smart Security suite has an Automatic Filtering Mode that will silently block lots of Lexmark entries during the installation.

By switching from Automatic to Interactive Filtering Mode, the user is allowed to decide if the program needs to be blocked or allowed.

Go to Setup>Toggle Advanced mode ( see right-hand image).
Choose Personal firewall (see right-hand image).
Switch to Interactive Filtering mode (see right-hand image).
Proceed with the installation of the Lexmark software. NOTE: You will see many firewall notifications popping up during the whole installation process,  (especially during wireless setup). Do not forget to click on "remember action" then hit "Allow".
