Vertical Lines/Streaks or Vertical Voids through areas of solid color can be caused by a variety of issues. See example below.

Troubleshooting

 

Step Action
 1
Print the Menu Settings Page.
Are any of the supplies listed as low or below 20%?

Yes: Replace any low supplies.
No: Continue to Step 2.

Are you printing on a supported media type?

Yes: Continue to Step 3.
No: Replace the media with plain paper. If the print quality defect disappears it is possible that the media you are using is not supported or rated for color laser printers.
 3 It is possible that the printhead lens has become dirty and needs to be cleaned. Follow the steps below for Cleaning the Printhead Lens. If the issue persists thereafter, continue to Contacting Lexmark below.


Cleaning the printhead lens

NOTE!! Be very careful when cleaning the printhead lens so as not to scratch the lens itself, or to damage the belt below it.

 1 Power off the printer/MFP. Open the front cover and toner access door.           No Image
 2 Remove the right-hand side cover. (See images here and below to follow this procedure.)

 3 Remove the waste toner bottle.

Using a soft, lint-free cloth, very gently clean the four print head lenses.

Note: A lens cloth would be ideal for this procedure.

Reinstall the imaging unit, waste toner bottle and right cover. Close the toner access door and the front cover. Power on the printer/MFP again and print a test page.
