Problem

Solution

What you will see 

When authentication passwords that contain special characters such as /, ?, # or % are entered on the MFP or AIO* touchscreen, they cause a  "Change file name" error message.  Versions 1.1 and 1.2 of the Lexmark Scan-to-Network embedded solution exhibit this problem.

NOTE:  Password selection is performed in the embedded web server via Configuration > Embedded Solutions > Lexmark Embedded Scan to Network > Configure > Scan Destination > Add > Authentication Options.  Click here for illustration.

Solution

Upgrade to version 1.3 or 1.4 of the Lexmark Scan-to-Network embedded solution.  Visit Lexmark.com  to download the latest version of this free solution. Hint: This is a Software download type.
