The following should occur:
- A command prompt window opens with a message similar to Using printer 1.
- A blinking cursor.
- A green flashing Wi-Fi indicator light displays on the printer.
- The message Updating INA FW/ Do Not Power Off Machine on the printer.
NOTE: If the light is not flashing, make sure the printer's menu system is not displaying an end-user request function (such as load plain paper). Click X to cancel the displayed function.5 You will see a message to Wait while your device restarts. Procedure: Network Code Update via Network Connection
IMPORTANT! Make sure your computer and printer are communicating with the AP/wireless router. If not, connect a USB cable and follow the above procedure.
NOTE: The fact that your computer is hard-wired into the router with an ethernet cable is not a guarantee that the built-in AP (wireless radio) is sending out network data. You can be connected to the AP, but not to the network. Successful Wi-Fi communication requires radio transmission of network traffic.
