What You May See
MarkVision 11.1 Messenger e-mail 'Actions' are being routed to the wrong SMTP (e-mail) server.
Background Information
The following was observed after a Messenger 'Action' was created or modified with a new, or different, SMTP server address.
- Previous 'Actions' have been removed or updated to the correct SMTP server address. - The summary of individual 'Actions' shows the correct SMTP server address. Click here for image. - Not all Messenger e-mails are going to the wrong server. - A similar fix for 'Deleted Actions' in MarkVision 11 will not work for this issue in MVP 11.1. Messenger Actions E-mail Fix
NOTE: You will lose all configured 'actions' after performing this procedure. Step 2 makes a backup of these actions in case re-entry of the data is necessary.
Step Action 1 Stop the MarkVision Server. To do this, click Start, Settings, Control Panel, Administrative Tools, Services. 2 Copy the serviceManager._persistentData.Action.elm file to another location for backup purposes. This file is found under ...Lexmark\MarkVision Server\granite\data. 3 Delete the serviceManager._persistentData.Action.elm file. This file is also found under ...Lexmark\MarkVision Server\granite\data. 4 Start the MarkVision server. 5
Create new 'Actions' and verify that e-mails are now going to the correct e-mail server.
