If the printer software is installed while the Windows firewall is turned off, a communication problem can ensue between the printer and the computer.

Set the exceptions manually to ensure that the Lexmark exceptions have been selected.

Verify that the following entries are all selected:
- -Lexmark printer_name (e.g. 2500, 7300) Series Server
- -BorgListener
- -Job Status Window Interface
- -Lexmark Communications System
- -Lexmark Device Monitor
- -Lexmark Productivity Studio / Imaging Studio
If any of these entrie is not selected, click the check box to select it and then click Apply.
Verify that the following entries are all selected:
- -Lexmark printer_name (e.g. 2500, 7300) Series Server
- -BorgListener
- -Job Status Window Interface
- -Lexmark Communications System
- -Lexmark Device Monitor
- -Lexmark Productivity Studio / Imaging Studio
If any of these entrie is not selected, click the check box to select it and then click Apply.Image
