Scanback Utility Not Working with the X34Xn Multifunction Printer

Solution

What you will see

After you select the profile from the X342n operator panel, scanback will state "retrieving file".  The file never appears.

Explanation

This is working as designed. Scanback is not supported on the X342n printer.

Workaround 

If you need to scan to your computer, you can choose one of the following methods:

  • Temporary profile from a PC using the QLINK application (USB attached)

  • Scan to PC using network TWAIN (n models only)

  • Scan to PC using the web applet (n models only)
