IPDS and SCS/Tne Emulation Name Filtering Issues with MVP 11.0

Problem

Unable to create filters using the emulator name  IPDS Emulation; Unable to create filters using the emulator name  SCS/TNe Emulation; The Emulator:Name parameter does not contain the IPDS Emulation value; The Emulator:Name parameter shows SCS/Telnet instead of SCS/Tne.

Solution

MarkVision Professional 11.0 (MVP); To prevent non-communicating devices from being automatically removed from the MVP server, do the following:


  1. Download the file ENUS22350_IPDS_Filter_v1_1.zip and unzip it.
  2. Install the IPDS Filter plug-in (version 1.1) on your MVP server.  (For details on installing MVP plug-ins, click here.)
  3. Reboot your MVP server.  (For details on restarting your MVP server, click here.)
     

  4. Once this plug-in has been installed, you will be able to select the following values for the Emulators:Name parameter:

    IPDS Emulation
    SCS/TNe Emulation
