What you will see
When the printer jams, the applicable jam message will be displayed on the printer operator panel. If you select Show areas on the operator panel, you can view one or more images to help you locate and clear the jam.
A 241 or 241.xx Paper Jam message indicates a problem with paper jammed at the front of the printer, where paper tray 1 is located. To resolve the paper jam message, you must first clear the entire paper path. You can then press the Select (check mark) button to clear the paper jam message and resume printing. To access the jam area, you will need to open one or more of the front paper trays. Paper jams in these areas can occur on the incline surface of a tray or across more than one tray. If you call for Lexmark Technical Support for service on the printer, please be prepared to describe the problem you are experiencing and the error message on the display. You will also be asked for your printer's model type and serial number. This information can be found on a label under the front top lid of the printer. The printer serial number is also listed on the menu settings page you can print from the Utilities Menu. (Click here for instructions.)

NOTE: By carefully selecting print media and loading the media properly, you should be able to avoid most paper jams.
