Environment

Solution

When you try to deactivate the Job Statistics feature by selecting the entry and validating it, a value from the previous database is returned, indicating that the feature is still active.
To disable this feature or to reinitialize the list to the default values, follow the steps below. NOTE: This example can be run on a Windows NT 4.0, 2000, XP, or 2003 computer.

  1. Shut down the MVP Server service.

    1. Go to Start, Run.

    2. Type in cmd and press ENTER.

    3. Type in net stop mvserver and press ENTER.

  2. Go to the granite\data folder created by the MarkVision Server installation (in Windows, the default path is C:\Program Files\Lexmark\MarkVision Server\granite\data).

    1. Go to Start, Run.

    2. Type in C:\Program Files\Lexmark\MarkVision Server\granite\data and press ENTER.

  3. Delete the serviceManager._persistentData.JobAccounting.elm file.

  4. Restart the MVP Server service.

    1. Go to Start, Run.

    2. Type in cmd and press ENTER.

    3. Type in net start mvserver and press ENTER.

NOTE: If you are running MarkVision Professional Server on an operating system other than Windows, click here for instructions on starting and stopping the service.
