MarkVision Professional and MarkVision Messenger Do Not Support Cyrillic Characters

Problem

Cannot use Cyrillic characters in MarkVision Messenger names; MVP folders using Cyrillic characters are displayed with question marks (?) in MarkVision Messenger; Unable to create MarkVision Messenger action involving folders using Cyrillic characters

Environment

MarkVision Professional 10.2; MVP Messenger is not able to read and display the extended characters. As a result, the scripts that should create the actions on the server are generating errors.

Solution

This is a limitation of the application; there is no fix for this issue.  As a workaround, you should avoid using Cyrillic characters in MVP or MVP Messenger.
