Cartridge is inserted into the printer; Lexmark Z810 Color Jetprinter; Mechanical lockouts are used to prevent installation of the wrong cartridge(s) on some printers. In some cases these lockouts may not work properly and you may be able to close the carrier lid with the wrong cartridge installed. However, the cartridge will not work as the cartridge lid can push the cartridge off the cartridge contacts. Depending on how the cartridge seats itself in the printer, your printer may post a Missing Cartridge error message instead of the expected Invalid Cartridge error.
If your printer is displaying a Missing Cartridge error, please check to see if the correct cartridge is installed in the correct position in the printer or AIO. If the correct cartridge(s) is installed, please contact Lexmark Technical Support for additional assistance (see instructions below).
