- Cannot print wirelessly
- Cannot scan wirelessly
More on wireless printing
Released Lexmark drivers do not have full Bonjour support and as such cannot be successfully added wirelessly using components bundled with the OS. The Lexmark Wireless Setup Assistant must be run in order to successfully create a print queue that can communicate over wireless networks. Wireless support will be provided in future releases for 10.6. See Resolution for more details.
More on scanning
Lexmark drivers bundled with Mac OS X 10.6 do not come with the usual All-in-One Center (example 7600 Series Center) application that allows the user to scan using TWAIN backend. To scan using the bundled drivers, users can utilize the Image Capture application bundled with Mac OS X 10.6. Users may access this application by going to the Applications folder and launching Image Capture or by going to System Preferences then Print & Fax, selecting the Print Queue and opening it and clicking on the Scanner button on the upper right corner (see image). TWAIN scanning support will be provided in future releases for 10.6.
Resolution
Users will need to install drivers with support for all available features per printer. These drivers will be posted on Lexmark's website under the Printer Drivers & Software section. Please keep checking the OS Compatibility list for updates.
