Who's this for?

This topic is useful to anyone needing a faster way to configure driver settings in a multi-print queue environment. The Lexmark Printer Driver Configuration Utility allows users to create, save, and apply driver configuration settings to print queues that may require different printer features or output characteristics.

Creating a configuration .ldc file (Example)

This example will use the driver features "Print In Black and White" and "Duplex".

Step Action

Launch the Lexmark Printer Driver Configuration Utility (LPDCU).

Windows default location: Start > Programs > Lexmark > LPDCU.
Note: You may see Loading Configuration... Please Wait

Under the Quality/Paper tab, place a checkmark next Print In Black and White, and then Save

Go to the Configuration Options tab, place a checkmark next to Duplexer, and then select Save.

Go to the Layout tab, and under Duplex, set the Duplex Setting to Both Sides and set the Duplex Type to Long Edge.

Select File and Save to save your configuration (*.ldc) settings file.

Note: Select a directory and filename that makes identification easier when you need to retrieve and apply the file; i.e., F:\\FrontOffice\Dplxclr.ldc.

Applying an .ldc to an existing print queue
